BP said today that a 12th discovery has been made on its deep-water Block 31 off Angola. BP said the well, named Terra, was drilled by the drillship Jack Ryan to a total depth of 6118 metres in a water depth of 2328 metres. Terra lies about 411 kilometres north-west of the Angolan capital Luanda and about 30 kilometres north-west of the Titania find, which was discovered in October this year. BP said that well results have confirmed that the reservoir will have a flow capacity of 5000 barrels per day of oil. The Block 31 stakeholders are operator BP (26.67%), ExxonMobil (25%), Sonangol (20%), Statoil (13.33%), Marathon (10%), and Tepa (5%). (Upstreamonline)
